- Score the cover. Five visual dimensions: salience, emotional pull, color quality, composition, and readability.
- Score the title. Seven angles: hook, emotion, conflict, length, structure, keywords, and readability.
- Rank the set. A deterministic preference model turns the same scores into a relative ordering. It is not a sample of real viewers.

Do I need to log in or install anything?
No. It runs in your browser. No account, no extension, no download. Open the page, add your thumbnails and titles, then review the score breakdown on the same page.
Are my thumbnails uploaded to a server?
Core scoring happens locally in your browser. Account sync sends a downsized preview plus title and score data only after you sign in and save.
How many thumbnails can I test at once?
Everyone can compare 2 to 6 thumbnail and title combinations in one test. Creator keeps that same limit because the paid value is decision workflow and reporting. Studio does not promise a higher limit.
What does the preflight score mean?
We score each cover across 5 visual signals and each title across 7 angles, then rank only the concepts in your current set. It is a deterministic heuristic, not measured CTR or a sample of real viewers. The full method is on our methodology page.
Is this the same as YouTube's A/B Testing?
No. Eligible channels with Advanced features can use desktop YouTube Studio to test up to 3 titles, thumbnails, or combinations with real watch time. Use this tool first to improve and narrow 2 to 6 ideas, then let YouTube validate the final three.
Will this preflight change my live video?
No. The core tool has no channel connection and cannot change a live video. It only compares the files and text you add in this browser. A later YouTube Studio test is a separate live experiment.
Can I test the title and thumbnail together?
Yes. We score the title and thumbnail as a single unit, because that's how viewers actually see them in the feed. You'll see separate cover and title scores plus a combined preflight score for each pair.
Is this a real audience A/B test?
No. It is a creative preflight and relative heuristic. It never splits real traffic or measures your audience. For concurrent A/B/C validation with real watch time, use YouTube Studio after you narrow the set.
Does it touch my YouTube channel?
No. The tool has no access to your YouTube account, your videos, or your analytics. There is no OAuth, no browser extension, and no connection to YouTube. It only sees the images and text you paste in.
What happens to my images?
Original images are processed locally for scoring. If you save a test, a downsized thumbnail and the scores are kept on this device (your 5 most recent), which you can reopen on the history page. When you are logged in, the same saved report can sync to your beta account. The original images stay in your tab and are cleared when you close it.
Can I buy Creator or Studio?
Creator is the paid plan at $9 per month. Start it from the Creator card after signing in with a verified email. Studio remains product research and cannot be purchased. Saving Studio interest does not create a charge, subscription, price reservation, or promise of an email.
What refund policy does Creator use?
Every Creator charge has a 14-day full-refund window with no usage threshold and no reason required. An eligible refund also ends the Creator subscription and paid access.
